The important part is often the panel: where it can sit, what shades it and whether charging conditions will support the evening you want. LED count cannot answer those questions.
These four options cover a long fairy string, small globes, two independent strings and a larger bulb set with USB backup. We have not forced a fifth product into the comparison.

The panel matters more than the LED count
The panel is the fuel source. A long string with a shaded panel can be less useful than a smaller display whose panel receives direct sunlight. A larger battery claim alone does not establish how well the panel will recharge it.
Measure the panel lead and identify an exposed mounting position before buying. The two Ollny examples have about 2m of lead; their panel cannot simply move to the other end of a large garden.
British winter changes the equation
Short days, low sun angle, cloud and shading can reduce charging and evening runtime. A useful summer display is not a promise of all-night performance in December.
Litogo’s manufacturer range instructions acknowledge that a depleted unit may need prolonged direct sunlight after cloudy conditions. Where should the panel face?
Choose a position with direct sunlight and as little shade as practical, following the manufacturer’s angle and mounting instructions. Check the spot across the day; a fence, tree or pergola roof can block more light than expected.
Keep the panel clean as instructed and avoid nearby night lighting that could affect the dusk sensor. We do not prescribe an engineering angle or claim a measured panel-efficiency advantage.
Panel rating and string rating are separate
Both Ollny examples specify IP65 for the panel and IP44 for the light string. Those are separately rated components, not one universal waterproof label.
Exact two-pack component ratings for Litogo are unresolved. Lepro’s checked product body describes outdoor use but does not establish each component’s IP number. Follow the selected kit’s instructions and do not fill those gaps from a similar product.
Solar with USB backup
Lepro’s solar G40 set can be charged through USB when sunlight has been insufficient. The detachable panel makes indoor charging possible; the USB cable is not included.
The stated eight-hour charge and six-to-eight-hour runtime are manufacturer claims under its conditions. Backup charging still requires access and a suitable supply. Do not assume the other products provide USB charging just because they have rechargeable batteries.
Automatic evening operation still needs setup
Many solar sets switch on after dark, but their main switch generally needs to remain enabled for normal operation and charging. Lepro explicitly gives that instruction.
Check the exact controls, first-charge guidance and sensor position. A dusk sensor does not guarantee enough charge for the whole night, and another nearby light can affect when it detects darkness.
One long run or two independent strings?
Two strings can serve separate shrubs or areas without carrying an unlit connection across the gap. That is the reason the Litogo two-pack is included.
