How we research.

SimplyLit researches lighting products using manufacturer specifications, retailer information and customer feedback. We do not physically test every product we feature. Where we analyse customer reviews, we will say how many we looked at and identify the exact product or ASIN.

How recommendations will work

1. Define the buying question and the features that matter for the setting.
2. Verify product details against primary manufacturer or retailer sources where possible.
3. Compare meaningful trade-offs such as length, power source, control and suitability.
4. Analyse customer feedback when available, stating sample size and raw theme counts.
5. Make an editorial judgement and explain its limits.

Customer reviews are useful evidence about reported experiences, not a substitute for controlled testing. We will not claim a product was tested by us unless it was.

Corrections and updates

Prices, availability and product details can change. We will date substantive guide updates and correct verified errors. Each guide distinguishes manufacturer claims, our own calculations and any buyer feedback we can tie to the exact product.
